Hard Hitters Sports ("we," "us," "our") operates the NFL pick'em pool at hardhitterssports.com (the "Service") for a private group of members. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account details you provide: name, username, email address, mobile phone number, and payment handle (Venmo/PayPal/Zelle) used to settle pool winnings.
- Your activity in the pool: weekly picks, tiebreakers, and standings.
- Basic technical data needed to run the site (e.g., login session).
How we use your information
- To run the pool — record your picks, compute standings, and track payouts.
- To send you account notifications you've opted into (see SMS & email below).
- To send security messages such as password-reset links.
SMS / text messaging
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used solely to send the pool notifications you opt into.
If you opt in to text updates (by checking "Text (SMS) updates" in your profile), you may receive weekly "picks are open" announcements and reminders when you have games you haven't picked before kickoff. Message frequency varies — typically a few messages per week during the NFL season. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out at any time by unchecking "Text (SMS) updates" in your profile or by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
If you opt in to email updates, we send the same announcements and reminders by email. You can opt out anytime in your profile. Security emails (such as password resets) are always sent regardless of notification preferences.
How we share information
We don't sell your personal information. Your username, avatar, picks, and standings are visible to other members of the pool (that's the point of a pick'em). We use a small number of service providers strictly to operate the Service — for example, our email and SMS delivery providers — and only to deliver the messages you've requested.
Data retention & security
We keep your information for as long as you participate in the pool. We use reasonable measures to protect it, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords.
Your choices
You can update your profile, change your email/SMS preferences, or ask us to remove your account at any time. Contact us and we'll take care of it.
